71-year-old iron bar puppet folk artist Chan Qianhan and his wife were
operating an iron bar puppet show, "Beijing fair" in Guangzhou province
on Nov. 3. Enjoying a history of more than 2,000 years, puppets belong to
ancient Chinese folk arts. At present, four major categories of puppets
cover the string puppet, rod puppet, iron bar puppet and glove puppet,
among which the iron bar puppet is the rarest.
