Two German artists Thomas Jacobi and Klaus Fresenius paid a visit to Wuyi
Mountain in Fujian recently for exchanges of arts. They hoped to deepen
their understanding of China's modern arts and integrate Chinese culture
into their works. Pictured: Klaus Fresenius showed great interest in the
clay sculpture of Zhu Xi (1130-1200), a renowned poet, philosopher and
master of neo-Confucianism in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279).

Pictured: Thomas Jacobi (C) was interpreting his new painting Washboard
in the exhibition hall of the Department of Arts in Wuyi University on
Oct. 10th.
